MAHWAH, NJ, JULY 11, 2012 — Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, continues its industry leadership in innovation with the introduction of three versatile monochrome document systems. The Sharp MX-M264N, MX-M314N and MX-M354N models range in speed from 26ppm to 35ppm. These new document systems offer users robust multifunction capabilities right out of the box that includes full color network scanning, standard PCL®6 network printing and true multi-tasking.

These new monochrome document systems provide the right features and tools that growing businesses need, including color network scanning to multiple destinations, PCL6 network printing and true multi-tasking capability. Available options include document filing, staple/finishing and more.

As a leader in MFP security, Sharp developed these new document systems with the same advanced security features as other Sharp workgroup MFP products, including standard data erase capability, 256-bit data encryption and a new end-of-lease feature that erases all data, user data, job status data and address book. Additionally, the quick 20-second warm up time and optional retractable QWERTY keyboard ensure quick and easy walk-up access for all end-users.

“These latest additions to our document systems product portfolio build on Sharp’s legacy of continuous MFP innovation and technology solutions to help companies of all sizes improve efficiency and meet their business goals,” said George Grafanakis, senior manager, product planning and marketing, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “Delivering high quality business products at affordable prices is just one of the many ways that we are delivering on our promise of unparalleled quality to our end-users.”

To make integration with network applications easy, the MX-M264N/M314N/M354N document systems support the Sharp OSA® Development Platform which allows users to interact with network applications. Sharp OSA technology uses industry-standard network protocol and Web APIs, allowing the MX-M264N/M314N/M354N to communicate with many different applications.

Sharp is committed to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility including planning, design, manufacturing, distribution and product end-of-life management. The MX-M264N/M314N/M354N monochrome document systems further illustrate this commitment by utilizing Sharp’s advanced micro-fine toner technology, which produces less waste than conventional toners, resulting in longer replacement intervals. Sharp supplies are packaged using fully recyclable materials, and long-life consumable parts help minimize service intervals, resulting in lower operating costs. All Sharp document systems are ENERGY STAR® qualified and RoHS compliant to restrict the use of hazardous substances.
